Here We Are

Here we are. It's 2007, in Chicago, and there's bicyclists all around us. CBF works hard for us. Da mayer' likes bikes and is working hard to make his millions of constituents happy by putting more iPod-wearing, helmetless bicyclists in bike lanes. There's an entire community devoted to policing and critiquing the latest bicycle fashion in Chicagoland and the surrounding collar area.

With all this great bicycling-focused energy, surely we can add something good, and positive, like our ancestor Bike Snob NYC has done for his cities wonderful bicycle community.

Give us a few days to get moving and inspire you to join the latest trend!

It's good to see a local effort to nitpick silly conversions, Cervelo-riding weekendathletes screaming at 15 MPH on the LFP, and Massholes on rusty, squeaky Schwinn Varsities.

Kudos!

Oh, for cripes' sake. The least, the very least you could do is link back to Bike Snob NYC's blog.

See? Not so difficult.

Wait! BSNYC is your ancestor? Like you're somehow evolved from him? He's the Neanderthal to your Homo Sapien?

Or are you saying you're the red-headed stepchild that BSNYC locked up in his basement because you kept drooling on the good tablecloth. You got out? BSNYC needs to invest in some better locks.

How drunk were you when this seemed like a good idea? I appreciate what you were trying to accomplish, when I was younger I thought DJ'ing in a club was easy. The first time I DJ'ed in a club, well, actually I did pretty well but that's not the point. You can't write!

so, basically you're just copying everything bsnyc says, but doing it for your own city and taking out the comic value. don't kill bsnyc. you're almost there.

your writing and grammar skills in no way grant you access to be able to justify something like this.

go home.

People don't seem to be hot on this idea of a bike snob in Chicago.. Perhaps if you reconfigured your format. Instead of ripping on "hipsters" at every opportunity you could take a picture of yourself in a jersey leotard next to your $2000 bike and post that for us to laugh at in lui of the stuff that isn't funny (assuming you are the type that is.. (If not I apologize)).

Just because you get passed by fixed gears is no reason to trash them on the internets.

Everyone should ride bicycles and who gives an F what way they do it?!
